Sail Whatever You Have!
The open fleet allows you to race any centerboard boat you have 20' or less. We score using the US Sailing Portsmouth Handicap System so that all boats are competitive regardless of their pedigree. Occasionally a boat will start off in the open fleet, generate interest and become a separate fleet once there are 5 of the same class. The Thistles started that way in the 90's and just recently the Buccaneers as well. 

We have had Day-Sailers, Lightnings, 505s, 470s, 420s, Jet 14s, Y Flyers, Flying Juniors, Buccaneers, Catalina 16's, Fireballs, 29'ers, Wayfarers and others in the fleet. So take whatever sweet ride you have onto the water and mix it up with the rest of us. It's great competition and camaraderie but most of all it's just plain fun.
